Reiki At Scargle Nargle

I first heard of Reiki in 2004 when my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer and she started going regularly for Reiki treatments. She found these very effective for pain relief, management of symptoms and her mental wellbeing. When my mum passed my sister and I were determined to find out more about Reiki and completed our Level 1 in 2009. We immediately felt the powerful energy and began to self treat on a daily basis. We were so impressed with the results we went on to complete our Level 2 and 3 in 2010 finding it an invaluable tool in our spiritual journey and personal development.

As I worked full time in mental health for many years I really only treated myself and a few others from home or at their own home but in 2014 I decided to undertake my Teacher Degree to enable me to teach and attune others to the Reiki system – something which I thoroughly enjoy doing to this day.

Usui Reiki is a Japanese system of healing and originates from the words “Rei” meaning universal and “Ki” the Japanese for Chi, prana etc which is the life force inherent in everything. When this life force is flowing freely we are much more likely to be happy and healthy, however when this energy is low or there are blockages we are susceptible to emotional difficulties and physical illness. In Reiki therapy, this universal energy is activated by the practitioner and passed on to the recipient where it both replenishes areas that have been depleted of energy and also stimulates the body’s own natural ability to heal itself.

If you would like to learn Usui Reiki then sign up for one of the classes I run frequently throughout the year. There are many other adaptations of Reiki available today however, Usui Reiki is the original one and you must have these specific qualifications in order to become a practitioner. This is stipulated by the Reiki Federation.

Reiki Level 1.

The first degree attunement is designed specifically to begin to cleanse the physical body of toxins and energy blockages thus the cleansing process will allow the physical body to vibrate at a higher frequency. The energy is filtered into the system in a gentle way and the process continues as you work on bringing the energy through the system through self treatments. When practised regularly Reiki Level 1 is very powerful in its own right.

Reiki Level 2

At the second degree attunement the energy becomes much more powerful, it floods the system and further pushes open and enhances the levels of energy held in the chakras. Reiki 2 is primarily concerned with the cleansing of the mental and emotional bodies. You will also be shown how to give distance Reiki, use the sacred Reiki symbols and look more closely at the function of the chakras.

Reiki Level 3 Master’s Degree

At the third degree attunement the energy is a very fine vibration moving into the spiritual aspect of your being. Due to subtlety of the energy many will feel no perceptible difference but this will continue to unfold over many years if one continues to work on oneself with the specific goal of spiritual evolution. At this level we will continue to work with the chakra system including diagnostic work and treatment plans as you will be a fully qualifies Reiki practitioner.
